A Star Older Than The Universe

Hang on? A star older than the universe. Yes, but no. When Methelusah’s star was first discovered, and they measured and it was 14.5 billion give or take 0.8 billion, and the universe is 13.77 billion, give or take 0.04 billion, so even if these measurements were correct, it can still be younger than the universe. It is probably not a star older than the universe, there are articles claiming that this star is from a destroyed universe , which we have no proof of. And it is very close by for a phenomena like this, if it was older than the universe. It was measured again with much better software that finds age using mass, luminosity, and elemental content. The last one is important by the way, because the star has low metal content and this time it said it was 12.01 billion give or take 0.05 billion years. Not as old as the universe. Even so, that is pretty old. Almost as old as the Milky Way. Probably not the oldest star though. But is it dying? Yes, it is, but that will take a long time, way longer than its current age, and that is a lot. A long, long future, but we are considering it until it becomes a black dwarf. So if you are looking for another age milestone, just google it up. So how young is the youngest star? You’ll find out next time.
