The Earth

The beautiful thing we see in space, our planet. You would agree Earth looks nice in space because water and ice are good at reflecting. As a matter of fact, the Earth is not round, it is shaped like pumpkin. What gives Earth life? First, it's in the habitable zone. So, water can exist in liquid form. It also has the right amount of heat and light. It has many things for life really. Like a bodyguard. Jupiter protects Earth from asteroids. But, did Earth always have liffe? After The Sun formed, there was some rock and other material left with the help of a supernova. This material formed into the terrestrial planets. One of them was Earth. Although Gas Giants formed in another way, let’s not talk about it now. When The Earth was young and hot. It collided with lots and lots of asteroids. This is why Earth has a lot of water. Definitely, not my way to get water. The biggest collision that Earth had was with a Mars-sized planet called Theia. This formed The Moon. Most of you might think Earth is small because of the gas giants. But, it is the biggest terrestrial planet. Did you know that Earth has a sister planet? Its name is Venus. It’s called a sister because of their related size and distance. More like Earth’s evil twin right? The Earth would either become an object really far from The Sun after billions of years. But, that is another blog for another day. In seven billion years The Sun would eat Earth if Earth is in The Solar System. The Sun will become a red giant which later would be a white dwarf. But, do not worry about these disasters. There is still a lot of time for scientists to think of a way to survive. Do you think The Earth is interesting.
