Rocket launches take a lot of energy and are very complicated. Well, there is a new way. Nasa and a company named SpinLaunch created a new way. They made a catapult-like device that can launch things into space. The "catapult" is still being tested though. So then why not use a regular rocket instead. Well, Spinlaunch claims the "catapult" will cut 70 percent on fuel and structure. And is much less complicated. So then, how does the "catapult" work? Well, a carbon-fiber spinning arm inside a 300-foot steel vacuum accelerates something at 5000 miles per hour. Which is more than enough to escape Earth’s gravitational pull. It might not be used to get people to space but probably other things into space. As unusual as this space "catapult" is, the "catapult" can be used to send stuff into space at only a fraction of the cost. Would you send something to outer-space using g a "catapult" or the usual rocket? Stay tuned for my next blog!
